Urine tests, blood tests, ets. - they can't find them at first and then eventually they find them again. Now I know my doctor received my nuchal results yesterday and STILL hasn't called me, even though when we called yesterday, the receptionist said she would call that day. Is it time for a new doctor or is this not a big deal? 25 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Because I just wouldn't see an OB for childbirth unless I had some major high risk factor. The US is alone in making OBs the default for birth--in the UK and Europe everyone sees a midwife unless there's an actual problem. You'll get better, more personalized care and have a way better chance at a vaginal birth. [ Reply | More ]

np: I wouldn't go to a midwife unless I absolutely had no choice- like if I lived an hour and a half drive from a hospital with poor medical care. you can't just skip the earlier ones. It doesn't work that way. Most of the vaccines babies/toddler get need 2 or 3 doses to be affective. If you delay, you just delay the whole process, so the ones you would have gotten at 6 months you get at 18 months, the ones you would have gotten at 18 months you get at 2 1/2 years etc. [ Reply | More ]
