question for moms who postpone vaccines: if you wait until dc is 1 yr or so, do you just skip all those missed vaccines or do you make them all up and dc has to get so many in the second year?? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

the vaccine book by dr sears has an alternative schedule for vaccines that is more spread out - postponing is different than skipping them though [ Reply | More ]

you can't just skip the earlier ones. It doesn't work that way. Most of the vaccines babies/toddler get need 2 or 3 doses to be affective. If you delay, you just delay the whole process, so the ones you would have gotten at 6 months you get at 18 months, the ones you would have gotten at 18 months you get at 2 1/2 years etc. [ Reply | More ]

we started at 1 yr and vaxed very slowly, so that when my dd turned 6, she was just then finally caught up. [ Reply | More ]
