I am exactly the same height and weight, although i haven't been the 135 for QUITE some time. What about a compromise and try for 145? I think post-baby your body might have a new set-point. I just know that i am not willing to starve myself to get back to 135 any more so trying to be happy with what i am. [ Reply | More ]

You have to be in shape before you get pregnant. Depends on several factors: skin elasticity (genetics), fitness level pre-baby, amount of weight you gained. Once you stretch that skin and it remains stretched it's tough to get it back no matter how much you lose. I was 105 lbs and I still had a TT to remove excess skin. Obviously I will never be 25 again, but my excess skin is so much less now. [ Reply | More ]

She just told me that her teen dd will say she doesn't want her mom to counsel her and that's how my sister knows she's on the right track with her dd. Again, I said nothing - but wonder if I should point out that maybe her dd just recognizes the switch that I do and is annoyed by it. 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

i would be very annoyed- we did CIO, for night and naps, and nanny won't do it. although having said that, my nanny can always get dd to sleep, so i've decided that whatever she does works, so i leave it alone. result is still that dd knows how to put herself to sleep, because of CIO, so that's what i care about the most. yes. nanny said she couldn't do it, wasn't part of her culture. but it's funny, i always tell her she can do it (cio), and she never has, but in past week i have noticed she has put down dd for naps a couple of times and let her cry, because she saw it was taking forever to rock the baby to sleep, and once she put her in the crib dd would wake up again. so she is starting to see it my way! He was in 1/2 day kinder and almost always poops mid-afternoon. Plus he's very good at holding it if he wants to and I could totally see him doing that and waiting until he gets home. My younger one isn't yet 3 and she is 90% fine on wiping so I imagine she'll be 100% there by kinder. [ Reply | More ]
