I told the admissions director she rejected my ds, but I said it was a smile and then we did go on to have a good talk about what schools are appropriate for what children, etc etc. She was mortified at first, but we ended up having a lovely evening together. I think I'd get along well with you OP. I'd have said the exact same thing! If she was truly offended by it, then I'd think she had a stick up her butt anyway and wouldn't care to befriend her. If that is what she does for a living, she has to realize she will cross paths with someone she rejects some day. OTOH if she realized (as I guess I would if I were in her shoes) that I was just giving her crap about something and it was water under the bridge, I would probably put in my list of people I could hang out with. I was the one who said she misdiagnosed me. She totally did. This may be too much info, but I had some "blemishes" which she thought was a herpes outbreak. Tested me for herpes and gave me antiviral medication. 2 wks later, no word from her, so I called her office and was told by the receptionist that the herpes test was negative. She never called to tell me that and to tell me to stop the medication. Nor did she call to see if the problem was resolved. I had the same problem a few months later and went to see my derm instead who looked at it, said no way was it herpes, and then tested it and found it was a staph infection. I also waited 2 hrs for an appt with Dr. Patrick with no apology or even acknowledgement of the delay from her. She seems like a nice person, but I would go to someone else. I now see Laura Schiller who is smart, responsive, and follows up with phone calls. [ Reply | More ]

Surprised to hear all that negative stuff about Dr Patrick. I have never had a problem and neither has my firend who is using her for db#2, but sounds like you have some good recommendations and I actually found the office was well run, well everyone has different experiences. Congrats and best of luck w/whoever you choose. I would look perhaps to docs at NY Cornell, I did not love Roosevelt, labor and delivery was great but post-partum nursing sucked, you will probably hear that from everyone. However, Roosevelt seems very popular these days and everyone I know had a great L & D experience. A lot of hospitals have poor post-partum staffing it seems. [ Reply | More ]

He will say he will be home at 10, for example, and if I call at 11 when he's still not home, he won't answer. Last night, we were meeting at the movies. We were supposed to meet at 6:50. I waited, he didn't come. I called. No answer. At 7:05, I went in to the theater and left a message telling him so. At 7:45 (almost an hour after he was supposed to meet me) he comes in. After the m ovie, I asked him what happened...why he didn't take my calls. He said he was in a taxi at 6:45 and just couldn't answer. I'm so pissed. I don't beleive him. He is making me feel crazy, telling me I'm out of control. If this wasn't the first time I could see that. But this type of thing is an issue for us. We aren't speaking right now. if you think that an email or letter is the only way he will stay shut and listen, do it but don't expect him to respond. If he's doing something wrong, he will NOT own up to it but just keep placing the blame on you [ Reply | More ]

Get phone records for his cell phone. Hit redial on your home phones and see what number it dials. [ Reply | More ]
