I thought 4 months was such a hard time sleepwise. Rice cereal probably won't make a difference. Can DH take a turn one of the night wakings, or the early morning one, so you get one break? [ Reply | More ]

this is not super unusual for a baby that age, especially if EBF, and rice cereal is unlikely to help much. BTDT. is baby hungry each time he wakes? [ Reply | More ]

then i don't see what CIO will do, esp at thai age. he can self soothe already. he's probably hungry most of the time he wakes up. if ebf, have dad handle it when you think baby isn't hungry and he may drop those wakings. [ Reply | More ]

My 5m old now sleeps through the night. I thought he was hungry when waking up, but one day I just gave him back his pacifier and he went back to sleep. Important not to pick him up. You can definately start to decrease night feedings, either time if you are BF or quantity if you are bottle feeding. [ Reply | More ]

Rather than spend on entertainment, you could instead buy a few things: get an inflatable plastic pool, fill it up with plastic balls--instant ball pit. Duplex legos in one corner perhaps. A few plastic trikes or cars if you can get someone to loan them to you. And a plastic slide/gym set. And big balls to roll around. [ Reply | More ]

this doesn't take long. 3yos are easy and only 6 is no problem at all. Fresh direct for food. If you don't mind paying extra, order toys for 2-day delivery (assuming it's a weekend party?). Or if you have a car, drive out to big toysrus and get balls, etc. You could also have a book-read-aloud party and give out books and coloring books. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Say you invited someone over to your house and a month later your mom was diagnosed with cancer. Then that same person went to another relatives house and their daughter was diagnosed with a different kind of cancer. Then that same person was invited to a wedding, and was upset that the rushed wedding was stealing the thunder of her own wedding and the bride ended up with inflamed molar that left looking like a chipmunk on her wedding day. Then the family whose daughter had cancer and had been doing really well had this person over for a second time and now their daughters cancer is back worse than before. Would you blame anyone for not wanting to invite this person to their house, or chance it on the grounds of coincidence? 27 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]
