[ - ] I have been posting here, bf of 6 mo is away for work this week and things have been crazy with all the bank collapses, etc. anyway, usually we talk every night before bed and this week he has texted me everyday that he is so crazy and will try to call later and doesn't. finally today i asked him why he doesn't even send me a goodnight text and he launches into a whole thing about how the next two months his schedule is brutal, i asked what that meant. he said, i just want to manage your expectations. I won't be around really. i have a ton of work trips, etc and i don't know if i will be able to have dinner with you on thursday etc". I asked what he was saying, if he wanted to stop dating since he didn't have the time and he said "thats not what i am saying, i am just trying to explain it to you, and sometimes when there is a lot going on, something has got to slip and i don't have time to call you, etc". to me it sounded like a blow off. I said, when you care about someone you might say "things are crazy but we can make time at some point". he said he didn't want to talk about it now and he would call me later. we got off the phone and i sent a text saying "don't worry about calling me later, I am leaving for the weekend and we can talk if and when things calm down for you". he writes back "enjoy the beach, why don't we have breakfast on monday". ugh. breakup bfast? 6 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

"manage your expectations" is a polite way of saying take it down a notch or stop the relationship entirely. Men find it really hard to be the bad guy. Would rather force the woman to break up with them. If he's in finance, he has a very good reason to feel overwhelmed. Give him space and try to move on yourself. Maybe you'll hear from him again someday when he's less freaked out if you can end things now on a pleasant note. [ Reply | More ]

your DH's suggestion is very ignorant of the increased risks to you and your db that induction entails. as a mom who was induced, i would NEVER suggest that someone consider induction for scheduling convenience. and, yes, the chances of your having a c-section are greatly increased with induction.
