any Jewish moms on? we are expecting #3 in September. the name we are thinking of is the female version of my husband's middle name (ie. gabriel/gabrielle) we are not naming her after him but I love the name. what is the opinion on this? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

If the other relatives don't care, I would just do what you want. If it's a big deal to parents or inlaws, I might choose something else. [ Reply | More ]

Well, Sephardim name after the living, and the more important thing is the Hebrew name. The English name can really be whatever you want even if following Ashkenazic tradition if the Hebrew name is after someone who you've lost. [ Reply | More ]
