Thoughts... I am applying for an MSW at NYU. I recently took a couple of transferable classes at Hunter that I would like to use towards my MSW. However, my Hunter transcripts will reveal three Incompletes I received when I took four classes there 10 years ago. Do you think these Incompletes will hurt my chances at being accepted at NYU? In the past 10 years I received another MA, which proves that I am capable of doing graduate level work... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

it might effect whether or not they want you to take their versions. for instance, if you took intro practice classes, they might want you to take their classes anyway because their focus is so clinical. etc. [ Reply | More

as an MSW, if I were evaluating your application, I would question them. I don't think they would be a total strike out, but they could tip the balance in favor of someone else if there were a tie, for instance. were they clinical classes? [ Reply | More
