Just wondering if anyone has induced early? Does it lead to increased chance of c-section? I have a situation where i am due w #2 days from my dh's only siblings wedding - the wedding is in Asia so not a quick trip really. DH suggested induction so he could make it for the wedding but i don't really want to go that route. Feel bad for him given the situation and they are very close. Not sure what to do!??! your DH's suggestion is very ignorant of the increased risks to you and your db that induction entails. as a mom who was induced, i would NEVER suggest that someone consider induction for scheduling convenience. and, yes, the chances of your having a c-section are greatly increased with induction. I agree with above poster. Especially if your cervix isn't "ripe" inducing early leads to c-sections at a much higher rate than natural labor does. Most doctors won't do them for convenience purposes either. [ Reply | More
