NYC Coop Owners - I have just started to look to buy a coop. Many of the brokers are telling me the building has common storage (but not private cages). How does this work? If you have this doyou have issues with things that "go missing"? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

We have common storage in our building. We're assigned to a certain area in a large room. I wouldn't keep anything really valuable down there, but we do keep large items like furniture and boxes of miscellaneous household items and toys. [ Reply | More

we had this in our last place. we stored bike, old bed (no mattress), crib when taken apart. never a problem-it was a small building if that matters. oh, and extra plats, glasses, flatware that we didn't use daily [ Reply | More

We have private lockers, but there is a bike room for all residents and as far as I know nothing has gone missing. A good number of people lock their bicycles though. [ Reply | More
