I also can't figure out how you are going to make him the youngest if he missed the cutoff. Are you going to try and make the school take him early? [ Reply | More ]

I think thats up to you. Are you a sahm? Do you have other children? The choice to go to preschool doesn't really affect K. K is a shock to all of them, its more social than academic. Personally, I'd keep him home. They go to school soon enough. Let them be little and hang out with mom and play with bugs if you can. But, I don't know your situation. I read a good book, Preschoolers At Risk that talked about sending them too early if you want to check that out. [ Reply | More ]

check with the state. There are programs out there. Do you have no insurance at all? ALso, I just heard a story on the news this morning that most hospitals will reduce the amount you owe by 40% if you have no ins at all. GL [ Reply | More ]

nope. Saw it on the news. There was a fraudulent company selling soemthing called a Maternity card they were investigating. Dont' the that! Anyway, they said you have to ask in advance and tell them you are uninsured. They reduce costs for ins companies so why not for indivuals? Not fraudulent at all [ Reply | More ]

I'm not an expert - but I think their case was - you tell us that you can't do x procedure for less than $$ and then you turn around and do it for less. So you can't bill us xx and someone else less. [ Reply | More ]

I see. But they do make deals with the ins company so I think they should be able to make deals with individuals too. Just another way we could reduce the cost of health care in this country without resorting to nationalizing it IMHO [ Reply | More ]

I have health insurance. Just not disability, which is what I'd collect if I had a FT job and was taking a traditional leave. I know I should have anyway as no work, no pay for me, but it just occured to me that while I don't need to take a full leave (I work from home) I will need some time. I'm just curious about what's involved--like, am I too late, etc. I've searched the Interent but can't come up with any direct answers. I figured someone on this site must have been through this before. [ Reply | More ]

She is an adult and I think would appreciate being treated like one. Of course you also appreciate her acting like one! But from experience I have found it best to give them the benefit of doubt or let the first time goofs slide. Then if it happens again I remind that I did not say anything the first time and it tends to make a bigger impact on them and shows that I am not overly critical or that it was just a one time goof. I really love sex and my partner is physically hot to me; it would be great to have daily sex! We've been together for 20 yrs and there's no denying the power of physical intimacy. I'm in a much better mood when I've had regular sex and a higher energy level results. Having said that, it's important to also say there will be plenty of times where frame of mind, structure of time and other factors will sublimate sexual desire or the attention it deserves and needs to be satisfying.
