Make a huge batch of pesto, then freeze in ice cube trays & use it for spagettini , cold pasta salade (w/cherry tomatos & shrimp), add to ordinary soups to make them "sing" [ Reply | More ]

Stop staying in the room with him. It sounds like he's keeping himself up to spend time with you. If staying up is boring, he might as well go to sleep. As for the early waking, don't go in until 7:00 or unless he gets really upset. Then go in and soothe, but no getting out until 7. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] My 3 year old head butted me 3 times tonight. We were sitting really close as we had just finished reading and I told him it was bedtime. He did it once and it really hurt. I reacted and told him no. He did it again and I told him know. He did it a 3rd time and I lost it and slapped him across the face. He wailed. We talked and he told me he did it because he wanted another book. I told him I was wrong and we both apologized. I still feel horrible. Anyone BTDT? 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

OR I really just don't get the fascination to do a vbac. It is more risky - although in most cases I know not much. I guess I just didn't really care about my birth experience. I just wanted a healthy baby the easieset way possible [ Reply | More ]

I think your options depend a lot on where you live and who your docs/midwives are. I'm in Northern New England and many local reputable hospitals which I have used for my births or day surgeries simply do not offer it. You have to go to Maine MEd or Dartmouth Hitchcock. But if you are in a city and/or hooked in with some good docs/midwives then you will probably have more options when the time is right. But now is not the time to think of such things. Just get well and enjoy your baby. [ Reply | More ]

Of course, give it some time. The first few weeks are so hard. If I remember correctly by 6-8 weeks with both of my kids they were nursing a little less and we had more of a natural schedule going. [ Reply | More ]

Finally felt that I had BF figured out and was just beginning to enjoy it after DD was 6 weeks. Just prior, DD had a major growth spurt at 5.5 weeks, which also coincides with when babies are their fussiest. My ass was glued to the couch for about 4 straight hours a night while she was feasting. This lasted for about 5 days and then she was less fussy and didn't need to eat as much. The one good thing is that when they fill up like that at night, they are able to sleep longer periods through the night so it should mean less night feedings, at least it did for me. you will, just give her what she needs right now. My twins are now 10 months and the first 10 weeks it seemed like i did nothing but nurse. Don't try to schedule her now. Feed her in bed, lying on your side, and get some rest yourself. [ Reply | More ]

My first was like that - fred every hour on the hour, by the third week you can start stretching it out to every two hours. You have plenty of milk, some babies just like the comfort of suckling so much it is more important than sleep. But start carrying her around & trying to distract her for a few minutes and see if you can get her to wait a bit before feeding her. Otherwise poster above is right - make a nest in your bed w/snacks, tv, & phone near by, take off your top, & just conserve your strength! [ Reply | More ]

I think you should call your OB, this sounds too weird not to mention that I am sure you are getting really annoyed, a few years ago I had something similar and thought it was brom BC but it was actually a miscarriage [ Reply | More ]
