you have to go up to Forest Ave - there is the King's Arm diner which is has good diner fare. Also, the Panini Grill a little further down is good. If you went over to Clove Lakes Park, there is the Lake Cafe (I think that's the name) that overlooks Clove Lake. It's really pretty. You can rent a paddle boat. And it's a good park for a bike ride. OH - and if you want the best pizza ever, go to Denino's on Port Richmond Ave. The restaurant itself is like a cave (totally interior) but the pizza is phenomenal. And then go across the street to Ralph's and have Italian ices for dessert. [ Reply | More ]

Yum, Denino's and Ralps. Hey OP, if you simply follow Richmn Terrace in the direction of the Bayonne Bridge and make a left when you see Port Richmond Avenue, that will take you up to Denino's. Nabe looks a little sketchy as you pass through but it's fine really, and agree the pizza and ices across the street at Ralps are so worth it. I'd do the children's museum while you're there at the gardens. You're literally right there, can do the boat section of the museum outdoors tomorrow! P.S. Be sure they're open tomorrow, as many museums are closed Mondays! P.P.S. There's a little castle with a maze garden on the grounds too. You can't go wrong with that whole cultural center. [ - ] OK--very cool thing happened and I just want to tell someone and my dh is on the golf course this morning (he wouldn't find this too interesting while with the guys!)...so I'm copying the idea of the beach bag filled with summer things for the preschool teacher and I was ordering several of the items to go inside it yesterday..one of which was Supergoop sunscreen that I saw on Giggle website --I went to their company website and sent an email to them after I ordered asking if I could get some sort of deal on their littlest tube if I bought lots of them to give as presents to the kids in dd's class (end of year gifts and there are only 8 in class) --this morning I got an email back from their customer service person and she is sending (only paying the shipping costs)....8 little tubes for each of the kids as a thank you for ordering and for helping them promote being safe in the sun this summer!! BTW: I just went on to youbemom.com and what is this? is this a part of urban baby? It looks like the old format which I like better!!?? 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I own a childrens boutique and california baby is a nightmare to work with so we've quit carrying them --they give no customer service and don't support our events or promotions --it's still family run so I don't get it but i think since they've gone into target they don't care about others anymore!
