[ - ] The new democratic party that Senator Obama wants to own and control quasi-exclusively is one with a very narrow and exclusive base, after the abuse, insult and ultimate rejection of the core Democratic base. Core Democratic voters and supporters have now to find a new political structure for themselves because if Senator Obama has his way, this is no longer a party where women, working class folks, and generally anyone unprivileged are welcome. 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

The only legitimate and viable candidate at this point is Senator Clinton and her supporters and voters are no longer in the mood for consolation prize (VP slot) and have seen the Unity shtick for what it is: a shtick, like everything else Obama, it’s all style and no substance. And once you get past the inspirational / revivalist style that makes teenagers swoon, there is a pretty nasty core of contempt for "the rubes" and "the dry pussy demographic" and "the women’s studies set" or whatever. The media cowed us and manipulated us into Iraq. They cowed us and manipulated us into accepting George W. Bush’s 2000 election “win”. They cowed us and manipulated us into rejecting health care reform. And so on. We are tired of the media telling us what to think and determining the course of our country—because it has really left the place FUBAR. [ Reply | More ]

Here’s the problem with Obama is the nominee absurdity. Since March 4th, Hillary’s gotten over 500,000 more votes than Obama. She will likely increase that number in the last three contests and will almost certainly be the candidate who will have received the most votes in this primary. Shouldn’t the de facto nominee be increasing his vote lead rather than getting his ass kicked at the polls? (Spare me the delegate “the math” meme.) That’s the argument we are taking to the Super Delegates, along with the fact that WA, TX, and NE all showed disturbing discrepancies between caucus results and primary results which unambiguously call into question the validity of Obama’s caucus wins. That’s been our plan for months and our position has only improved by these criteria. We’re not going to quit. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think it's selfish at all. I did want a 2nd though but dh didn't. That was hard to deal with. But now I'm appreciating what I do have instead of what I don't. True, dc doesn't have any siblings but my dh isn't close with his siblings so its no guarantee. If you don't want anymore definitely stay with one and enjoy her! [ Reply | More ]

it is sad and depressing but I still can't stop watching it when I come across it. There is a part during the sinking that starts me tears (old man and his wife choose to not get sep. so they go back to their cabin, lay in bed and hold on for the inevitable). Wahhhhhhh [ Reply | More ]
