we've had to stop drinking it. ever. we will have one sometimes when we are out and we get a small cup for dc with mainly ice but some soda. we talk about how it tastes very good but is not healthy, so you should only have a little bit sometimes. it's been good for us to drink less anyway - and we do sparkling water with juice now primarily. but it was really striking how fixated, how quickly dc became. i think one of the worst things is what the first poster says here - it's addictive and so annoying to have to then say "no" a million times after they taste it. plus, it strips the teeth of it's healthy enamel and causes cavities, there's usually caffeine which has no place in a child's diet, there's either a ton of sugar or artificial sweeteners, neither of which the kid needs... A taste here and there isn't terrible but I wouldn't actually serve it to a young child. [ Reply | More ]

you're kind of nasty. It is a street fair, where the street is blocked off. However, they do use parts of the playground. Ergo, the fair is on 77th which is the back of the school. Do you just need to be right? Don't bother going tomorrow, you're a cranky broad. [ Reply | More ]

huh? someone said it's a street fair, then someone said it's on W.77th St. So I figured the st fair was on a closed off W 77 St, and wondered why if the school wason W.78. Completely legitimate question. Then, in response, someone (you, presumably) simply said that the playground was on W77: implication to that is that the fair is on the playground. At best, it was confusing. So now what you mean to say, which you could have said earlier in response to save me this wasted time, is that the street fair is on W77 and that it is there because it is also held on the playground. I care because I live on W 77. [ Reply | More ]

op here. The fair is held on West 77 street because the there are three playgrounds on the block, so there's more room. The entire street is closed off for the fair, and the playgrounds are used as well. The school exits onto 77th street (that's where dropoff and pick up is). [ Reply | More ]
