[ - ] My 3 yo dd is sort of enamored with another 3 yo girl in her preschool class, but from my recent observations, this other girl is a bit nasty and non-responsive to my dd. No big deal, she's not a bad kid or anything, just not loving my dd like my dd loves her, but watching the rejection makes me feel so sad. It only get worse, right? Anyone btdt? 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

My dd is 4.5, and I see the same thing at her preschool. The kids spend a lot of time figuring out who is friends with whom, who they don't/can't play with, etc. It's heartbreaking when she tells me that someone she was friends with yesterday wouldn't play with her today. I try to tell her that EVERYONE can be friends with EVERYONE, but apparently that's not how it's done in preschool. I worry about when she's a pre-teen/teen and she has a spat with a friend. It's hard to see her sad. . . [ Reply | More ]

Not "natural" ice-cream. You won't be able to use soy milk or rice milk unless you add stabilizers. But I am not very familiar with using Lactaid branded milk. That may work. [ Reply | More ]

Mine is the same. It's a lot of work, but I've found the best play time is playground or park time. She loves to run and climb and play in the sandbox and, as a bonus, is generally pretty well behaved when we're outdoors. Indoors though she just loves to try on all her clothes and shoes. my point was that they don't need privacy. Privacy is nice, but it can be worked out. When they don't want to change in front of each other, they don't. One goes into the bathroom or they take turns getting dressed in the room. Nothing bad will happen to brothers and sisters who share a room if need be. [ Reply | More ]

NP: If you were to ever leave your church formally (for whatever reason...moving out of state, disagreement with the congregation...whatever) and you had a formal meeting with the office of the church so that any of your paperwork can be transferred to where you are moving...or copies or originals given to you, you would be listed as having resigned from that specific church. It's not necessarily a bad thing (as it is in this case), but it is a normal procedure. Most people just don't bother to do it so it is not commonly known. [ Reply | More ]

But when you join another church, they usually ask for them. And joining doesn't mean going once a month or on Christmas and Easter. [ Reply | More ]
General Topics 05.31.08, 04:08 PM Flag

I know what joining means. When the new church asks for them the old church will send them and will usually mark the book as you having "resigned". They take you off the mailing list for donation envelopes, etc.... Very often the congregant isn't even aware of this. It's not a big deal. It's just how the church office works. [ Reply | More ]
