banana bread question: I have never made one, and the recipe that I found (through ub) called for 1.25 cups walnuts. Dh does not like walnuts. Is it ok to just omit them from the recipe or do I need to substitute with something? Maybe substitute with chocolate chips? (same amount?) tia! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

no - you do not need nuts. You can put chocolate chips in, but I'd use 3/4 cup - and dredge them in flour before adding. [ Reply | More ]
