[ - ] 19 m.o. DD has been throwing up for about 2.5 hours. Now she's down to just liquid -- can't keep water down -- and dry heaves, whimpering. This is a first for her/us. Anything I should do/worry about/not worry about? We're out of the country and feel a little unmoored. 15 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I think (and I wouldn't just rely on me!) that the main thing to worry about is keeping her hydrated. Give her periodic small sips of water if she can keep it down, or go to pharmacy and see if they have some kind of pedialyte equivalent. [ Reply | More ]

Very serious, imho (risk of dehydration in the little ones is serious). Where are you? If it's someplace with socialized medicine, then call and have a doc come to your house. Otherwise, an emergency room? [ Reply | More ]

A lot of dc can't keep down plain water when they're nauseous. Find her something carbonated, like seltzer, ginger ale, etc. and give it to her in little sips. The bubbles really help their stomach. [ Reply | More ]

I would give yourself a break. New city, new school, etc. She is three. She isn't going to realize she is missing anything.
