[ - ] My 3yo just had tonsils and adenoids out. Other BDTD moms -- did your child suffer 5-7 days later when the scabs came off? Or did they have a steady recovery. When did it seem like dc was all better? 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

No - my child had a great recovery. I would say it was really only a few days until they were 100%. Spent one day on the couch out of it, and we were up and about the next time. Really a great recovery. [ Reply | More ]

my nephew (3yr) will have this done next week. The Dr told my sis to prepare herself for a week from hell. He said the recovery is painful to many kids. How is your dc doing? [ Reply | More ]

OP: 5 days out. It's hard to tell what's physical and what's psychological. She is still waking a lot at night crying (before the surgery, I thought this was due to sleep apnea) and she cries out seemingly in pain when she eats certain things (blueberries, food too hot). But her level of activity is normal and most of the day she seems OK. [ Reply | More ]

np. When you don't have a job, you should keep your expenses (e.g., your monthly mortgage payments) as low as possible. You should not count on your money making money for you, and should be prepared for capital to lose value, which means investment income could go down in the short term. [ Reply | More ]

i have three. they are really spaced out- 9,5 and 1.5--- its really hard. i cant get anything done, especially with the baby around. i cant take a shower unless dh is home or its night... i am usually overwhelmed by it all, but then i try to think for a moment what a blessing they are and try to enjoy them, the laundry will ahve to wait... i try to get food delivered if its a bad hour, or i bring good snacks at the supermarket... good luck [ Reply | More ]

Are you in NYC? If so, and you go to a public school you are supposed to start K the calendar year you turn 5. I believe principals have the right to hold kids back for late K starts. If your child has an IEP when s/he turns 5 and ends up in a CTT or other more restrictive class then they would probably put the child in "K", but I believe the more restrictive classroom have a range of ages/grades in a class.
