I have 3 strollers. The bug which we use for walks around our burb (it's really the sturdiest), a MacLaren for the car, and a job stroller b/c I thought I'd start jogging after baby was born. I never use the jog stroller. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Doing weight watchers. I made myself tomato sauce (3 cups = 5.5 points), spinach (1 cup cooked = .5 point) and whole wheat pasta (2 oz = 3 points). Lots of food and very low points! Now here's the kicker- I used some olive oil to saute the garlic and onion for my sauce. 2 tablespoons = 8 points!!!!! Insane! The pan was basically dry by the time I was finished cooking the onions and garlic. Could the olive oil just burn off a little? Do I really need to count it as 8 points? I've read that when they're early, you subtract the weeks to get the "real" age. So, you're about on track for mild colic. It peaks at 6 weeks and tapers off by 12 or 16 weeks. I remember pretty much constantly nursing from 4 to 11 p.m. for a few weeks with #2. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Slightly fictionalized, but our situation is basically this: b/g twins, and we are legacies at both Cathedral and Collegiate. Assuming we can get in both places WWYD? Split the kids so that db at least can go to Collegiate which has a high school? Send both to Cathedral even though it's only k-8? Or try to get both into a coed K-12, possibly having to turn down early admission? I know we could have worse problems, but I'm tortured about this! 14 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

many families "have" to do this who don't have your choices. Apply to both schools as legacies and see where you get in.
