^^ fwiw, $4000/week is really a lot for us. (we spend $3000/month for our apt.) but we're really wanting to get outside of the city for two weeks this summer, as we'll have a newborn + dc. being at the ocean sounds very peaceful. [ Reply | More ]

I like it there very much, but you could also possibly look into Spring Lake in NJ. It's not as spread out, but it might be cheaper. Might not be... I feel like you could fly to Florida and stay somewhere better for less. The Ritz in Naples, Florida? [ Reply | More ]

I didn't say that. But there were some local news stories that differed from what got reported nationally. For ex - all those rumors about police keeping black people from the polls. What actually happened was a break in in a mostly black nabe. The police put roadblocks at both entrances to the nabe to try to cathc the robbers. That got blown out of proportion. ANother thing I noticed was if you watched CNN, there were more Gore supporters shown. If you watched Foxnews, more Bush people. If I went up there myself it was very even. [ Reply | More ]

Look - I'm a democrat. I voted for Gore and for Kerry. I disagree with much of what Bush has done (although I don't think he is the antichrist) but I think it does the party no good to try to rewrite history. What the SC said is either count ALL the votes, or certify the election as is. Bush won. No matter how you look at it (assuming you are being honest) The dems need to deal with that and move on. Otherwise we look like whiners and backward thinking sore losers. That to me, is how Hillary looks right now. Let;s get over it and move on! [ Reply | More ]

the Supreme Court said count them all, but you have no time to do it, so stop... and never use this ruling again as a benchmark. if you are an atty, you know that has never ever happened in the history of this country, and the court is not to be used in that manner. It was a way to stop what had become a sad and ugly situation. i am a dem who is thrilled to be a BO supporter, and I don't begrudge HC anything. I just think we dems don't channel our anger - which imho is tighteous anger - well... it can look whining. but what happened was not right... [ Reply | More ]

well I'm not an atty so maybe I am missing some of the ramifications. But - the thing is, the votes were counted. I was reall really upset at Gore's attempts to not count all the votes (Sending his attys in to get many of the military votes thrown out etc) He used some really dirty tactics and I lost all respect for him. I think you are right that we don't channel our anger correctly. All the talk about hating Bush bothers me. I disagree with him. I don't hate him. I like BO too and am very happy he is where he is. Hillary holding on past any reasonable point is reminding me of Gore and what he did to the party. I think it's a shame [ Reply | More ]

I have to say that both sides were equally guilty in that mess. I also have to say that after watching this current election (non-freakin-stop) that I am horrified by how the media skews things. I seriously doubt Gore tried to get the military votes thrown out as much as his people may have said "IF you set this criteria for negating absentee votes, you have to apply them to military votes also". My final conclusion: shit happens and rather than constantly playing victim, we have to decide to either fix the damn problems or live with them. I cannot however, endorse or support Hillary's behavior during this campaign. [ Reply | More ]

personally I don't think the Hillary has stayed too long at the game. It's a process and a person has to have a certain stubborn drive to take on this job in the first place. I don't see her as harming anyone. if she's still fighting at the convention, then that's another story [ Reply | More ]

eh, it's past time for her to get out. SHe fought the good fight, but it's been obvious for awhile that BO is the winner. I don't think she is harming anyone but she is making the party look bad. Her claims of who would be the stronger candidate when it's pretty obvious who the people want, bother me. It sounds like she is saying "I know better what is good for you, Just trust me". Scary IMHO [ Reply | More ]

Babies don't use their teeth to eat. They mash their food with their back gums until molars come in. They can eat anything they are not allergic to as long as it's around the size of of a cheerio and you can mush it between 2 of your fingers (simulating them mashing it). My advice, after 2 kids, feed them bits of your food so they get used to real food and you don't become a short order cook. Kid food is marketing. [ Reply | More ]
