I couldn't sleep at all last night. I recieved a notice that one of my credit card accounts was closed because of a negative credit review. I've had the card since 1991 and rarely late; however, I have fallen behind in my bills in the last year. Is this the first sign of something really drastic happening? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Okay. I couldn't agree more. I guess what I was asking had more to do with whether or not this is the first step for all of my creditors, ie I will be forced to put a lien on my home or something. I have just never heard of a credit card denying credit years after having the credit card. [ Reply | More

I also had my wells fargo MC shut down this year (had it since college) AND I had just paid off the whole thing, was about 6 grand. I was late maybe 4 or 5 times in the past year, and always did a pay by phone a day or two late (stupid, yes, but I get so much junk mail I get sometimes stash it in a clutter freak-out) I thought it was weird too.
