[ - ] NANNY question: when interviewing, do you throw out a salary or do you ask them what they want/expect? My current nanny has to leave suddenly & I'm thrown back into the interview process after many years. 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Db has eczema so I need to be careful, he is 7.5 months. What can I order to put on him, any other good brands? 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

this is morning. we have been dealing with this for 5 mos (DS is 1 yo), however in the last month he is now getting up at 5:30. We tried everything, and the only thing that ever worked was to let him cry and 4:30 and eventually he would go back to sleep, but sometimes he would cry for 20-30 minutes. It did not however keep him from doing it. I am told this is sometihng that some kids do and they just have to grow out of it. [ Reply | More ]

mine does the same thing, it is developmental, i stopped the 4:30am feed, he screamed the first morning, but after that he actually stayed asleep until 5:30. He usually wakes up now at 5:30 and coos until 6 or so when he wants to be picked up. [ Reply | More ]

when they finally doe 5:30 instead of 4:30 it is great, I remember literally dying from exhaustion, now 5:30 seems like i'm sleeping in. if it is ever 6am it is like a dream, it feels like I slept until noon. some kids will always get up at 5am, it is their thing, unfortunately! [ Reply | More ]

When my older one was in daycare, the only kids who still napped in the pre-k room were the European kids who went out late with their parents and didn't go to bed until 11pm. In the 3s/young 4s room, about 1/2 the kids napped. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I'm in such a funk. My ds had his "graduation" party today at school & the director said something about each child. Things said about most kids were really personal and sweet, even listing one as a "favorite because he's been with us for 2 years??? She said somthing really bland (& something that isn't even accurate for my ds). I guess I'm jsut sad that he is never the favorite of his teechers & teh director. His personlaity isn't always "smiley" so I get it, but he's so sweet and smart and goofy. 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]
