I went through this too, I know how you feel, I went through massive grief due to loss of bf. Mine did not go back to breastfeeding, but our peditrician said they sometimes do. You have to keep offering the breast. My db developed an aversion to the breast because of the pain he experienced eating, and having to lay down somewhat to bf. He stayed on the bottle, I pumped for ever but it was killing me. Reflux is just awful to go through, I hope your db gets better soon. [ Reply | More

I expressed for a month and 1/2, the pump did not work for my boobs, I even tried to squeeze it out manually at times because it hurt so bad, some people just have a harder time with the pump. I was just determined not to give db formula, it never even crossed my mind that he would get formula, ever! Eventually I had to, I was totally grief stricken about it. Baby was sick and screaming constantly, and no bf, very depressing situation. I didn't love mommyhood until reflux got better, it is a different world. [ Reply | More

After a month or so on pumped milk, mine wouldn't take the breast anymore. That said, I pumped a LOT, and the supply stayed strong. You could try a hospital-grade pump if you're really having issues because it helps with supply. [ Reply | More

GL with it. And pump a lot--every 3-4 hours during the day and definitely before bed and first thing in the am (which is when I would always get the most milk). A hospital pump will also make the pumping sessions much faster, fwiw. [ Reply | More

Yes! I had been monitoring my basal body temp for many months and knew that I ovulated late normally ~ day 18 of a 30 day cycle. This particular month, day 18 came and went and my temp didn't change so I thought that I didn't ovulate at all and was terribly disappointed. I stopped taking my temp and apparently DH and I got busy at the right time because after my period didn't come (a week later) I decided to check my temp just for kicks and it was high. I couldn't believe it, but I was pregnant and after backtracking on my temp chart, I must have ovulated ~ day 25/26. Very strange for my cycle since I am pretty regular. I did a search online and the only thing I found that might explain why I ovulated a week late was that I had had a few drinks around the time in my cycle that hormones were fluctuating in preparation for ovulation (~ day 14/15). (I did not drink beyond day 15 and was previously abstaining since we were TTC, but we went to a wedding that month and it was also my birthday and I knew I wasn't pregnant since I had just gotten my period). [ - ] Used to be a teacher and have been trying to tutor. Applied at a local school to get on their list and luckily a parent called to discuss the job. DH was headed out, answered the phone, but handed it to me. As I was talking to the mother he starts talking in the background saying I need to get off and call her back in five minutes. The mom explained a couple more things and then DH yells five minutes. I told the mom I needed to call her back in five and she said that was totally fine. I did call her back, she didn't pick up and I still haven't heard from her. I am furious at DH as I think he is totally disrespectful and yes, I feel hurt.
