did anyone get pg tho you ovulated late? like, day 20? it's day 20 and i haven't ovulated yet. it's bumming me out. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yes! I had been monitoring my basal body temp for many months and knew that I ovulated late normally ~ day 18 of a 30 day cycle. This particular month, day 18 came and went and my temp didn't change so I thought that I didn't ovulate at all and was terribly disappointed. I stopped taking my temp and apparently DH and I got busy at the right time because after my period didn't come (a week later) I decided to check my temp just for kicks and it was high. I couldn't believe it, but I was pregnant and after backtracking on my temp chart, I must have ovulated ~ day 25/26. Very strange for my cycle since I am pretty regular. I did a search online and the only thing I found that might explain why I ovulated a week late was that I had had a few drinks around the time in my cycle that hormones were fluctuating in preparation for ovulation (~ day 14/15). (I did not drink beyond day 15 and was previously abstaining since we were TTC, but we went to a wedding that month and it was also my birthday and I knew I wasn't pregnant since I had just gotten my period).
