[ - ] Looks like the MTA will be raising fares again soon as they are on the verge of a serious budget crisis. Apparently, the state is refusing to release the money promised. It feels like Bloomberg isn't stepping in for either the MTA or the DOE monies! How would your lives be effected by an MTA fare hike? 11 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

NYC is often cut out of the state budget. Look at the law suit the DOE had to file in order to get the money the state budgeted for NYC public schools. [ Reply | More ]

The city is screwing itself but not asking condo developers to pay for additional schools/MTA. All these new buildings mean new people (and families)-- Why hasn't Bloomberg pushed for them to shoulder some of the tax burden...After all, new condos often have abated taxes for up to 10 years! That means a free ride for condo owners who send their kids to public schools. [ Reply | More ]

Ah, he's a late person...I know those people (as an "always early person"). You might want to ask him what he thinks about his late-ness, but ask because you are curious, not because you are trying to fix him. BTW, you can not fix men--especially if this is "in his genes":) [ Reply | More ]

That is making a lot of assumptions and assuming intent behind his actions. I think you need to talk with him about it...It is not just one thing he is late for. If this is really a p-a behavior, he would be late for selective things. But he's late for everything. Sounds like poor time management skills. Does he distract easily or get caught up in activities? Why is he late? [ Reply | More ]
General Topics 06.07.08, 09:15 AM Flag

True, he is not selective about what he's late for -- can range from things he dislikes to things he hates. I think he's tends to run late b/c he simply does not think/plan ahead. Doesn't consider consequence of staying up late the night before an early meeting, etc. [ Reply | More ]

I try not to nag -- i realize it's not a big deal for him (but is for me since i was raised to always be on time -- erring to be early rather than late) He's not very responsive to the alarm clock at all. [ Reply | More ]
