[ - ] WWYD? Class parents asked for 3 different collections. $20/$40/$40. Dh put 3 different envelopes with the amount in dd's bag. Of the 3 only 1 parent says she got the cash. I spoke to the assistant teacher who goes through bags and distributes stuff and of course she has no conscious recollection of seeing three envelopes. Would you pay another $80 or just shrug it off. 7 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I was informed by two of the parents that the money did not get there. And when I mentioned that third mother got hers no one did the "Well I'm sure we got your money but blah blah blah, don't worry about it speech." Meanwhile, I kind of blame dh for not doing a good enough job of coding the envelope, or putting a note inside. FWIW we did pay the extra $80, and it was taken with out much "You really don't have to, we believe you, thank you so much" [ Reply | More ]

Our DS got in to TAG with 99. Very happy and definitely going! Second choice after NEST but third after Anderson. Anderson is a fantastic school but the obsessive moms on UB are a real concern. As somewhat laid-back intellectuals we felt we wouldn't fit in. Would have liked NEST but the smaller friendly nature of TAG is a huge plus. [ Reply | More ]

i realize it's hasty of me to say this, but i dont' think it's ppd. i think your feelings are probably exacerbated b/c you are post partum and probably physically run down as well. I'd take things with a grain of salt...you are probably overreacting b/c of the stage you are in. a husband who works many hours is not in and of itself a reason to be divorced. my advice would be to put all thoughts of this on hold until your baby is 6mo. Welcome to Parenthood. Marriage is about compromise. I always thought fighting was a good thing because at least then you are communicating. If he's physically abusive, get out now. But if you are just arguing, remember, you are both tired and a 2 year old (no matter how good) will strain any relationship. [ Reply | More ]
