she's great. low key, not alarmist, but pragmatic and direct. she was my ob -- when there were last min complications she came in at 3am & made the various difficult calls, very steady, cheery -- in the end I saw all the drs in her practice by the time I delivered -- and one of her colleagues delivered me -- they were all fantastic. I felt in v gd hands throughout a rather intense/scary scenario. [ Reply | More ]

Dr. Dobrenis just delivered my baby in May. I cannot say enough about how amazing my experience was with her. She was my cheerleader through the whole thing. I couldn't have done it wihthout her. I saw another OB in the practice who was great but I met with her once at the end of my pregnancy since there was a chance she would deliver and she knew my chart and history. I cannot recommend her enough! They dont take my insurance and I thought it was worth every penny. We were going to switch after i delivered but I was so happy that I am going to stay with the practice! [ Reply | More ]

I delivered my baby with the Dobrenis/Leonard/Hockstein practice in Summer 2007. Dobrenis was my primary doctor and I grew to dislike her very much. She never once addressed me by name (always calling me "Sweetheart" instead of trying to pronounce my slightly difficult name), was always very rushed and flighty, hardly took time for my questions, and made recommendations that I found to be irresponsible-- like stripping my membranes at 37-38 weeks when there was absolutely no need to do so. Drs. Leonard and Hockstein are much more serious and down-to-earth (if you don't mind seeing a man), and always took the time to answer my questions. If you want someone serious, calm, thoughtful and focused, Dr. Dobrenis is not your choice. I will not be returning to the practice. [ Reply | More ]

i'm not asking the kid to stop. i'm just trying to figure out why a kid that age would even be interested in riding his bike this way. my 7 y.o. gets bored with this little strip in front of our house and begs to be allowed to ride further. she'd never ride back and forth for so long on such a small area. i guess you've never wished aloud that something that woke your db up hadn't happened if you thin my post means i'm controlling my environment. I imagine that his parents don't want him going futher from home. He's probably bored with nothing to do on his summer vacation, give him a break.
