Want to help me analyze someone? I usually think when people are bragging about themselves that they are doing so out of insecurity. But this woman I know seems to think she is gorgeous - is always talking about she and her dh being a good looking couple. Or talking about how she gets hit on everywhere she goes. She also will tell you all the great things she does for people. Like, taking care of someone's kids and driving them places b/c the other mom has a baby. She actually said to me that it was too bad she was moving b/c she is a great friend to people with newborns (i'm pg) that she loves to help out b/c "that's the kind of person i am." the thing is, she was my neighbor and acquaintance 3 y.o. when dd was born and she did nothing for me. I don't know why I'm so puzzled. I'm just trying to figure out if my first impression - that she is deeply insecure - is accurate or if she is actually truly conceited and full of herself. i don't know. i guess i could have more tolerance for her if i thought she was insecure than if i thought she really thought so highly of herself. i've just never met anyone so seemingly unaware of herself. [ Reply | More
