[ - ] I just had to laugh. I was scrolling down the page and noticed in the school uniform thread that someone claims another mom's child will have a boatload of issues because that mom allows her dd to wear her princess costume when they're out & about. Sometimes I think people forget how idiotic they sound here! 15 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

The only time we went to see the Macy's show was before kids, and we trekked way over to a viewing spot on the West side, waited for like 2 hrs, and when the show finally began, the freaking parking garage on the pier that loads cruise ships was blocking our ENTIRE view. And yet we were blocked in on all sides by the crowd, nowhere to go. So we all just stood there, listening to the fireworks. So think carefully about whether it's worth it! [ Reply | More ]

I would tell them that your routine is important for the kids wellbeing and if they want to see them for a few hours, they can come during the day etc. If they want to babysit for a weekend, they can let the kids stay up late if they want to because she does have a point. Grandparents should be allowed to spoil the kids and break rules. But not on a regular basis when it interferes with your life [ Reply | More ]
