Happened to me at 5 weeks. Only went for u/s because I was spotting. Lost pregnancy. Waited for first period and bought OPK kit. Got pg again that cycle (at 36). Went for u/s immediately and there were THREE sacs. Lost two of them, but ended up with healthy db who's now three. Fertility in enhanced post m/c, so if you do get pg right away, there's a much higher chance of multiples. Gl! [ Reply | More ]

I'm not sure what "diverse" means, but I have dc there and I that's not the first word I'd use to describe it. There's a mix of older Italian families whose parents have lived in the neighborhood for decades, "artsy" families who moved in before house prices took off, and now lots of affluent new parents. Overcrowding has not been an issue -- the class sizes are quite small -- although its popularity is steadily growing and the lower grades are now nearly twice as large as the older ones. It has the feel of a very small school where all the kids are friends and principal knows everyone's name. [ Reply | More ]

I think the school would like to get more caribbean islanders to make the school more diverse, but I think nearly all the french-speakers have parents from France. same answer as above. I don't think any are applying for the dual language program, or at least very few. Might be because those parents don't live near very close to the school -- not many people want a long commute for K. [ Reply | More ]

I think it's one of the best all-around schools in the nabe, but would agree that it's not terribly diverse. Better academic reputation but severely overcrowded is PS 29. PS 261 has less of an academic reputation but is wonderfully diverse. Avoid PS 32 and PS 38. [ Reply | More ]

PS 38 G&T is OK. The rest of the school is not. People who send their children there for preschool try to get out. Even the G&T families don't stay. The principal is a test-score-driven autocrat. It's a terrible shame, because it could be a wonderful school. But it's not. [ Reply | More ]
