do we really need a changing pad/table in the very beginning for nighttime diaper changes? we'll have db in our room, in a cradle next to our bed for the first few months + have a dresser w/ changing pad on top in his future room down the hall. would it be enough to just have a supply of diapers + a cloth pad + wipes in our room, and change him on our bed? ^^ we'd rather not put an extra piece of furniture in our room if it's not really necessary. it's pretty cramped as it is. : ) [ Reply | More ]

We have been in similar circumstances and I have changed our little on on the bed The only issue is that in the middle of the night yhou have to move everything to the bed We bought an inflatable diaper table from DEKOR- you can put the diapers and wipes on it and have it all just ready to go in the middle of the night [ Reply | More ]

glad it sounds do-able. i was thinking we'd just keep a basket or bin with diapers/wipes/cream next to our bed, until he moves into his room eventually. how many times a night do newborns need changing, by the way? [ Reply | More ]

I'm not getting one, forget it. I just got a changing pad. Then again my child will sleep in a Pack & Play for the first 4 weeks. [ Reply | More ]

for our twins, who are now 4, we used a towel on the floor for a very long time at the beginning. [ Reply | More ]

never had a changing table. Always had a pad on a dresser top. Started using the floor pretty soon. [ Reply | More ]
