DS is 22 months and has approx fifty words. BIL commented this weekend that when his DS was 22 months he was speaking in full sentences. Do you think my DS is behind? I didn't until my conversation with BIL. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

My ds spoke less that 10 words at that age. He barely quualified for speech therapy because he could effectively communicate by pointing or dragging us. After 6 months he was talking up a storm. Don't worry, your dc is normal. [ Reply | More ]

I didn't speak a word until I was 3, then started speaking in complete sentences. I'm now trilingual, so I don't think I have any problem with language. All kids are different, as long as yours interacts with you and appears otherwise intelligent I wouldn't worry. [ Reply | More ]
