Oh! I thought you were taking your physical therapist! :) PT isn't the greatest to the Zoo, but then you'll be in Central Park, which is a great destination in itself. CP Zoo has a good cafe, and Prospect Park Zoo has some lousy vending machines. [ Reply | More ]

Never been to the Staten Island Zoo. The Prospect Park Zoo is great because it's so close to the Brooklyn Museum and the Botanic Garden. True, the food options stink, but we always picnic (or get hotdogs) in the park--much better than the crowded cafe at the Central Park Zoo. [ Reply | More ]

I'm sort of with DH, but on the other hand you don't want to be distant. Try to schedule playdates with the kid he likes and then ask neutrally how they went and why he likes the other kid. If the other kid treats him badly, ask him how he feels about that and whether he thinks that's the right thing to do. Try to get him to think about what he really wants from a friendship without directing his feelings. He is probably getting something from these relationships that isn't obvious to you. NP: that's overly negative. Most people get married again. But your life is YOURS to shape it, and you never know what's going to happen to you. [ Reply | More ]

Wait, you have a law degree? And obviously a BA. You make job prospects. Stop the Bfing, it's been long enough and get yourself on some meds already. You will be like any other unstable lawyer in this town. Get a job with th City or Federal Gov, you don' have to do it over night, but it is very hard for me to feel bad for your situation. How did you get through Law School? [ Reply | More ]

if he's a workaholic, let him. while he's at work, get a sitter and find a job. You don't need him or your mom. Its tough, but there are single moms out there who do well. [ Reply | More ]

staying with someone who hates and doesn't respect his mom isn't good for him eiter. My 5yo has been to daycare or with a sitter all her life. She is fine. [ Reply | More ]

and that behavior often repeats itself. You don't want ds to grow up to treat his wife like that. MAke a plan. You don't have to leave the house tomorrow. Just position yourself better. [ Reply | More ]

There's no easy advice for you. Can you start seeing a therapist? That costs money. Will DH allow it? [ Reply | More ]
