I keep seeing ads to sell your old jewelry for scrap gold. I have a few lame things from high school-- some earrings, charms. Is it worth it to bring them in to a jeweler or will they laugh at me? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

NP: I don't know wht that means either, it bothers me that the person can't just say something like, "you get $5 a gold chain, or $3 for a bracelet", or it's bull, you get nothing. The HAHAhaha is irritating and ghetto, probably the same girl from the other night who was bragging about her section 8 and welfare. [ Reply | More ]

They don't care as long as it's gold and you have ID. They pay by weight, so don't expect much. I sold a bunch of broken stuff and got $175, but held onto a pair of earrings that I'd spent $300 for - they offered me $80. Don't be embarassed. People are actually having gold parties where a jeweler comes to the house to buy from a group of friends. [ Reply | More ]
