[ - ] what is your feeding/milk schedule for your 1yo? Transitioning to cow's milk. Currently giving 4 bottles/day but think we could probably condense to 3? 1 Reply [ Reply | Watch | More ]

4 oz milk in a bottle when he wakes up, breakfast at 9, lunch at 11:30 with milk or water in a sippy cup, snack at 3ish, 6 oz milk in a sippy cup around 5, dinner at 6:30, 8 oz milk in a bottle before bed. He doesn't always finish the milk, sometimes he asks for more - varies by the day. [ Reply | More ]

I don't think you should spend a moment of your life feeling sad about what your in-laws think of you. It will just make you crazy. Be ok with yourself. Smile and nod when you're with them. And next time your b-i-l wants to share what the family thinks of you, walk away! [ Reply | More ]

LOL! good advice. Actually though, it made me feel better to know that I wasn't just making up feeling shunned. Turns out everyone knew all this stuff about me and I didn't know they knew. I will get over it but it makes me feel weird about it all. I have kind of a sordid past because of some abuse stuff from my teens. I feel like I've worked through it all pretty well and proved myself to them (we've been married 7 years) I don't know why it's still an issue. Oh well. You are right. thanks [ Reply | More ]

thanks. I think that is what is surprising me about it. They don't come across that way. DH said one sister is just bored and the other not too bright! Makes me feel a little better to look at it that way. I think MIL has moved on with things, she treats me pretty well. And apparently FIL is not in the loop. you can, but when I was supplementing, I gave BM first in a bottle and then the formula - just in case she didn't finish it all. I figured at least she would get all of the good stuff. [ Reply | More ]

yes. however, you may want to feed the milk first adn then top off with formula, so that you don't waste the milk. [ Reply | More ]

yes. The benefit of giving a breastmilk bottle first is that baby would finish all of that, and then a second bottle would have formula in case db wanted more. So if you mix them and db doesn't finish the bottle, some breastmilk might be wasted. But I couldn't see preparing two bottles every time I fed my newborn- just too much trouble. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Pg w/unplanned #4. I've said from the very beginning that I needed to hire some kind of help for after the baby comes. Wanted someone 2x/ wk to help around the house but there is no way I can afford twice a week. I've had bi-monthly housecleaners but decided the overall effect was too small to be worth the money. So - all that to say - what ONE service would you hire out if you could only afford one thing. Maybe I could send my laundry out but clean my own house? Or try to swing a weekly cleaner but do my own laundry? Very nervous about doing this on my own but on a tight budget. . . 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

If you ahve your own washer/d ryer than get a housekeeper to come in 1x per week, and make part of her job throwing in some loads while she is there. Throw a load in whenever you can all week so it does not pile up. I would rather do laundry than other chores. [ Reply | More ]

I think I would either go for a housecleaner to do the bathrooms really well and the floors. I can keep up with the rest myself ok. Or a part time babysitter - even a young teen mom's helper etc, to watch the baby or play with a couple of kids while I was home, just so I could get a nap or check my email once in awhile etc. GL [ Reply | More ]
