My daughter had reflux. I know exactly what you mean. Nothing we could do would make her stop crying when her stomach was upset, which was every third hour around the clock (after every feeding). Alas, the Baby Papasan swing was our lifesaver. Side-to-side cradle mode. That and a pacifier, worked like a charm every time. Once I even left her in there rocking for 4 hours in the middle of the night while I slept next to her. I felt so guilty but you do what you need to do to get through it. Sorry to hear of your son's diagnosis. A friend whose son had mild-autism reported that the gluten-free diet helped alleviate many of his GI symptoms but not his austistic symptoms. This was a few years ago, and he is still on a modified gluten-free diet. [ Reply | More
