Please help! We have month old twins, (born 1 month early). One has acid reflux and is very fussy, although, we have just started Zantac and are hoping that helps. How long can we "let them cry," when we are fairly confident that they are not hungry, wet, etc? The crying/not sleeping is drying us nuts! Any suggestions for scheduling? Any twin tips? HELP! When does this get easier? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

sad to say, it's hard when they're this young. time will help, and for now get friends/family/pay someone to come be with you so it's not so insular. [ Reply | More ]

It's hard in the beginning. You have to hold and feed and hold and feed and carry and sing and dance and bounce it's unending. Do you have a swing for them? those can help. Hang in there and get as much help as you can, beg everyone. [ Reply | More ]

My daughter had reflux. I know exactly what you mean. Nothing we could do would make her stop crying when her stomach was upset, which was every third hour around the clock (after every feeding). Alas, the Baby Papasan swing was our lifesaver. Side-to-side cradle mode. That and a pacifier, worked like a charm every time. Once I even left her in there rocking for 4 hours in the middle of the night while I slept next to her. I felt so guilty but you do what you need to do to get through it. Luckily, she got over it pretty quickly. [ Reply | More ]
