put a cool wash cloth on his back, and then some baby moisture cream to keep the skin from getting too dry. if he didn't freak out instantly when you put him in, it can't have been hot enough to do any major damage. i'm sure he'll be fine. [ Reply | More

if you were thin to begin with you prob have nothing to worry about. you prob know how to eat healthy - just do that. there's no secret. you'll only gain unnecessary weight if you're eating unnecessary food. if you're eating healthy, whole foods in decent portions and you still gain a ton of weight, then you needed to. If I were her I'd adopt as a single. My sister went through that period. She was in her early 30's, no marriage prospects, working with babies during the day and just absolutely desolate wanting a child. She ended marrying a guy after a 6 week engagement--sweet guy, but very, very dim and not able to hold down a job. Of course two years later they divorced and she became a single mom. It just seems like it would be easier to adopt (or do DS) and then see how it plays out. [ Reply | More
