i totally matured. no compromising at all. when you realize that who the person is is the most important thing, everything else doesn't matter - meaning, he will work both physically, emotionally and mentally with his all for you - holds nothing back. anything else, has nothing to do with you. that's why dating/marrying by checklist (ie tall, rich, smart, ethnically correct) doesn't work. if he's not about you, you will feel it. THAT is compromising. my dh is a different race, too short and has alot of allergies - and he is absolutely wonderful. every day i thank my ability to see that. [ Reply | More ]

We haven't really talked about it because he had a horrible time accepting the fact that my parents were getting custody. They're being investigated by DSS because of his girlfriend's past (she terminated rights to 7 other children!) My brother met her in AA. Anyway, we're looking into an interstate transfer to get her to come live with us. My brother is like yours and LOVES the baby so....if you (or I) take custody of our brother's kid what then becomes the relationship??? Are you the mom? Do you just wait around to see if he gets his act together? My mom is in total denial. [ Reply | More ]
