[ - ] how many of your pediatricians took db off whole milk at the 2yo checkup. ds's was very ambivalent about it, and so i'm not really sure what to do. he's really big (84% weight, 97 height) so he doesn't need calories, but isn't the fat good for their brains? thanks. 7 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

it's not a major diff between the 2% and whole milk. (5g of fat vs 8 g or something), so they still get the fat that's needed for developing from 2%. FWIW, my ped said it wasn't a big deal to switch her over at 2 yo so that I didn't go crazy buying 2 diff kinds of milk for her and for younger dd (but she was also small) [ Reply | More ]

not against it. Not for me since I'm married but when I was young and single I would have most likely had one. Who am I to tell another woman what to do with their body. I think it should stay legal [ Reply | More ]

I am pro-CHOICE, not pro-ABORTION. No one is pro-abortion. Personally I would never have an abortion, however it is absolutely none of my business what anyone other women chooses to do with her body and it is certainly none of the government's business. If they made it illegal I would most certainly be outraged and probably get involved in some kind of protest movement. This is America, not Iraq. We make the choices about what we do with our bodies and our families, not hte church or government or anyone else. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] my nephew is 6 years ols (dh sisters kid), he is awful all the time, screams in church, kicks, puches, i have never see a kid act like this before, and i used to work at a day care. He tried to throw my son (2) sown a flight of cement cellar steps. he has also said things like the reason he wants to be a police officer is so that he can kill people, something he's wanted to do "his whole life". when i told my SIL about this she just kinda shrugged and said "boys will be boys" WWYD? I am really concerned that he is disturbed.... 13 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

there was a child at my ds's OT last year who grabbed dd's doll, threw it repeatedly on the floor, and yelled "your doll is DEAD! DEAD!" it was horrible. I knew he had issues, but his mom was right there. Although, it would be hard to be her. Anyway, I agree with above poster, there's nothing you can do but stay away. You could ask DH to talk to her, or maybe better yet, DH to talk to MIL to talk to SIL [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Anyone watch the Tudors??? What's going to happen after they kill Anne in the season finale (obviously we all know what happens, what I mean is about the show? Jane Seymour was pretty boring. They gor together, she had a son about 1 year later, and she died shortly after and Henry claimed he loved her and mourned her for years before finding a new wife. Not exactly exciting melodrama?
