OP: "sitter" to me is someone who comes by occasionally at night so you can go out, not someone who cares for your child every day. If you hired a teenager to come over while you went out to dinner, you'd call them the sitter, not the nanny. [ Reply | More

This is true, but, you will soon select a loan, and that will be obvious on your credit report--that you were shopping a mortgage, and then your rate will be fine. It doesn't hurt you to shop around for a mortgage so long as you get one. [ Reply | More
