Guinness is not particularly hoppy. You want something hoppy, try an IPA. Stone makes some good ones, and Sierra Nevada makes one of my favorite pale ales. Also, Rogue beers are famous for their hoppy beers. [ Reply | More ]

As for DS, he doesn't really know what having a sibling means. When I was a kid sharing a room with my little sister, I frequently told my parents I wished I was an only child. As adults, my sister and I don't have a close relationship. She's only seen my 18 mo once. [ Reply | More ]

np take some time and think about it. It's not like you have to decide today. I had a couple of losses too and know what you mean. Felt like I was pg for 2 years and no baby to show for it. But when it finally happened, it was great. GL to you [ Reply | More ]

np: i totally hear you. same situation. 2 m/c's - feel like i've been pg half a yr extra already, (and bad first tri). do you want to have a second kid? i mean, are you ok w/ one? i'm not. i def. want more than one, but like you, am dreading the actual process and the sleep deprivation. but i would not want just one. i think if you truly can live w/ one, you need to have this discussion w/ your dh. i think you're just going to have to suffer for a couple years if you want more than one eventually, and remember it's a relatively short time... Haha, I'd love to solicit my own fund, but no I think that's illegal. I will say however that there is incredible value in the credit space right now. High yield bonds are at incredibly deep discounts because too much risk was priced in. Companies with good cash flows and other strong fundamentals are lower due to technical pressure, not default risk. Look to distressed debt or "Credit Opportunity" [ Reply | More ]

What does the photographer charge for an album? I bet their books look better than snapfish. If you and your family wants tons of prints maybe getting a cd is better, but if you want a few beautiful photos to frame or a book to keep forever I'd go with the photographer. [ Reply | More ]

Learn from it and try not to do it again. My 2.5yo ds goes through phases of this and I've come close to retaliating. Try to keep it in perspective he is 2 and there are other ways to deal with this. It may be different for your son but often when mine is behaving very badly he is actually just hungry, thirsty or tired. Good luck and remember it will just be a phase. Also I doubt very much that he will remember you hitting him, just don't do it again! [ Reply | More ]

THe best thing I have found when my 2 yo does that is to leave him in a safe spot, like his room, for a while. If I sit calmly, it drives him crazy and if I raise my voice, he loses it. I have to ignore it, then it stops. [ Reply | More ]

just try to do better next time. when they get tantrummy like that, remember it's not about you, doesn't necessarily reflect on you. They are learning to make it in the world and it is hard. if you are thinking he should no better about whatever he is tantrumming about, then he must not. He's still figuring it out and needs you to teach him. We sometimes think they are ready to move to the next step and they aren't yet. I haven't hit, but I get where it comes from. So forgive yourself and do better next time. good luck. [ Reply | More ]
