[ - ] DH and I are looking to spend about 550K for a house. There is a lot for sale in the town we are looking at. DH think we should buy it and build a house on it. I think that is a crazy idea! The lot is for sale for $300K (he thinks he can get it much lower because it's been sitting there) and it is covered in trees. Is this idea crazy??? Figure you'll pay a premium for custom. Builders save a lot of time knowing how to build lets say four models of home efficiently.
