I live in the South and it's not out of the dress code, just that I think they're never flattering. honestly if you are chunky nothing is going to look that great. try to stay covered, but some concessions have to be made for practicality. a long pair of shorts sometimes makes sense. I've seen them cut right below the knee too and that might be better. you won't look great but you'll be cooler and still covered. [ Reply | More ]

i know! for the most part, if DD wants to eat something that i am eating or drinking in front of her, i'll let her try it. unless it is alcholic (which it won't be since i dont drink) or soda with caffeine. i dont' eat very poorly, but will occasionally indulge in bad for you food. I cook very nutritious meals for DD, so why not let her have a taste of soda or eat a potato chip once in a while?? I think it's healthy to let your child understand that there are foods that you eat every day and some that you only have once in a while. [ Reply | More ]
