[ - ] DD is almost 2 and for some reason mostly calls animals by the sounds they make. For example, when she sees a dog she says "mommy a woof woof". She'll say frog or butterfly (she calls it fly or buhfly), fish but that's about it. I will say "Can you say dog?" and she'll just say 'Woof woof'. Anyone else have a child like this? I'm in the same situation, and do not feel guilty at all. The extra time db is in daycare lets me do all my tasks when she is there, so when we're both home, I can really focus on her, take her to playdates, classes, etc. [ Reply | More
