[ - ] DD is almost 2 and for some reason mostly calls animals by the sounds they make. For example, when she sees a dog she says "mommy a woof woof". She'll say frog or butterfly (she calls it fly or buhfly), fish but that's about it. I will say "Can you say dog?" and she'll just say 'Woof woof'. Anyone else have a child like this? I shouldn't be worried, right? 10 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

[ - ] Finally got my daughter into a wonderful daycare. I only need her there 2 full days a week, but part time there is considered 3 days. So essentially we'll be paying for 3 days. why are you jumping down my throat? OP said she felt guilty and I said I would feel guilty too. I didn't say she shouldn't do it. Personally, I just wouldn't drop my kid off at daycare just because I can. Plus, I SAH, so why would I do that? AND, there's nothing wrong with doing chores around the house and teach DC to learn to play by herself so mommy can get things done around the house. Jesus Christ. [ Reply | More ]

defensive much? Besides, if you SAH, why would you answer a post that is obviously seeking the perspective of someone who is working? WOH and WAH moms have entirely different time/scheduling constraints than SAH (trust me, I've done both). [ Reply | More ]

I'm in the same situation, and do not feel guilty at all. The extra time db is in daycare lets me do all my tasks when she is there, so when we're both home, I can really focus on her, take her to playdates, classes, etc. [ Reply | More ]
