[ - ] almost 9mo db won't eat puree anymore, I keep trying and she won't open her mouth, nothing from a spoon, yet she's not self feeding yet either so i have to pop peas and small pieces of chicken her mouth one by one at meal time. Takes forever, any other solutions? 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Yes. If she's hungry she'll either feed herself or let you give her a spoon. If she doesn't allow either, she's probably not hungry. [ Reply | More ]

Have you tried giving her a spoon? What she's doing is similar to a bottle strike - she's just trying to show you she's got some control and experimenting with her power. Although she doesn't know she's doing this. Give her a spoon and then you slip bites in while she's 'feeding' herself. She'll make a mess, but that's okay. And, ITA w/ putting down little pieces of food for her, too. [ Reply | More ]

if you need it, then take it. if you can hold out until the beginning of the 2nd trimester, then i would try to do that. stress hormones have a guaranteed impact on fetal development - so factor that in when you re weighing your options. best of luck to you. [ Reply | More ]

"dumb"? wow. judgmental much? anxiety can be completely normal in terms of cause and degree or it can be a debilitating disorder. you have no idea which the op has - not to mention the fact that your comment is really insulting to those who manage their anxiety disorders responsibly. Frankly, I think *most* Americans who pop pills for depression are not managing theirso called "disorders" responsibly and are being deluded and mislead by big drug companies who have everything to gain by doing so. [ Reply | More ]

I think American society and big Pharm have really done women, in particular, a big dis-service. I do think *most* but not *all* presciptions for deression medications are unnecessary...but big Pharma wouldn't make enough money to bother, otherwise. It is difficult truth to face. And certainly,as a pregnant woman I would be highly highly reluctant to start a pharma option. [ Reply | More ]

Your reaction is not only insensitive, but misinformed. Anxiety disorder is a real psychiatric disorder, and it can be exacerbated by hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy, menstruation and menopause. If someone is suffering from debilitating anxiety, telling them to go for a walk to get over it is like telling someone with diabetes to wish real hard that it would go away. Ain't gonna happen. I'm not mis-informed. Therre is a very high placebo effect iwth these drugs and American women are told they it is socail unacceptable to be anxious, afraid, angry, upset and told to take apill to fix things. We should be angry at big pharmacy, not those who speak the trith. Of course serious depresion and PPD exist and can and should be treated medically. But professionals and te press agree we are way over medicated. I would *never" *ever" take Prozac while pregnant. [ Reply | More ]

Have to admit, parents to help keep the districts great. The area you are referring to is relatively wealthy. The districts have to keep the school system up to par or they will loose the kids to the local private schools. If you are interested in private schools. Oaks christian close and ViewPoint in Calabasas is a great private school as well. [ Reply | More ]

Most American women don't ven make it until 6 months, especially if they wrok out side the home.
