DD's birthday is Jan 2. She is in preschool, we are hoping to have her test G&T when the time comes (2010) so we don't have to move to the suburbs. Should we send her to preK at her preschool or is public preK good enough for preparing for the tests? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Why does she have to go to G&T how about a solid gen ed. How do you know at this age she is appropriate for G&T, or maybe you just think you are being funny - NOT. [ Reply | More

I don't know that she is G&T. I just know that only 40% of then kids at our zoned school test at grade level in either English or math, and I think I need to give her the opportunity to do better. There's nothing funny about the state of public education in NYC. [ Reply | More
