I want to add that you can't foster the self-loathing thing; you need to develop a more loving attitude towards yourself. 20 lbs overweight is not what defines you; that's dangerously low on the scale of what's really critical to your happiness and success. As for the husband-let him be angry at himself-he sounds like a self involved prat. Maybe he should offer to train together; if he's such a fittie he should understand how levels of suffering towards fitness are variable and offer support, not criticism. putting a/c in a very old bldg is extremely expensive and it's something they would only use for maybe 2 weeks a year and many years not at all (school ends tomorrow and it's very rare to have this kind of heat this early). On a day like this, any 8-months pregnant woman who had the option would have stayed home and taken it easy. IF she'd even been working in an office in the first place; a lot of women were pressured to quit their jobs when they got married, and even more so once they got pregnant.
