[ - ] We're lucky that ds got into two middle schools (public). We're choosing the smaller less prestigious school because we feel it will be a better fit. Your kid's happiness in middle school is all that matters. It is such a rough age. Having a bad experience will only set him up to be unhappy in middle school and perhaps beyond. Let your mom's voice go b/c you'll be hearing it from others, too--just keep telling yourself that it's a long road ahead and being in the prestigious place now doesn't guarantee anything if it's not right for the kid. My husband doesn't help with my 3 kids b/c he doesn't feel like it, & especially this weekend w/ the oppressive heat in NYC we were all cranky. did it years ago when it first came out. it was okay. really don't remember how long it lasted. not that long I don't think--a week? worth it for an event or something I guess. did it somewhere around broadway and 18th (around there). they have those lotions now that give you color.
